Missed a call? Text them back before they call someone else

When a caller hangs up early, a quick text or a callback keeps the job.

Someone who hangs up without leaving a message usually hasn't given up on the job. They've moved on to the next number on the list. The business that gets back to them first usually wins.

Why callers hang up

With kaylin answering, most callers get helped on the spot. But some still hang up early: they're driving, they wanted a person, or the call simply dropped. That's a missed call, and it's worth a reply within minutes, not at the end of the day.

Text or call back?

A text is quicker for them. "Sorry we missed you. Reply here or call back any time." They can answer when they're free.

But only if they agreed to texts. A business may only text people who said it's OK, like someone who texted you first or said a text is fine on a call. For everyone else, the right move is a callback.

How kaylin does it

The Text back missed callers idea in Autopilot runs each time someone hangs up before kaylin can help. kaylin reads the call and looks up the caller:

  • If they've agreed to texts, kaylin writes a short text, signed with your business's name.
  • If they haven't, kaylin lines up a callback that asks how you can help.
  • It skips spam and wrong numbers.

Both wait in Waiting for you until someone presses Send or Approve. Calls always wait for a person.

One thing to know about texts: the phone carriers require every business to register its number before it texts customers. kaylin walks you through it when you set up your number, and approval usually takes one to two weeks. Calls work in the meantime.

With kaylin: turn on Text back missed callers in Autopilot's Ideas, and every early hang-up gets a reply waiting for your OK.
