When to let AI act on its own

Earn trust the way a new hire does: by getting it right, again and again.

Nobody gives a new hire the keys on day one. They watch, they check the work, and once it's right week after week, they stop checking every little thing. AI should earn trust the same way.

Start with "ask first"

When an AI workflow is new, have it draft and wait. You read each text or email, fix what's off and press send. It costs a few seconds, and you learn quickly whether the instructions are good.

Watch for a streak

The signal to look for is simple: the last several runs went out exactly as written. No edits, nothing turned down. That means the instructions are clear and the work is routine.

Then let go, a little

Good candidates: thank-you texts, appointment reminders, labels on your inbox, notes on a contact. Low stakes, same every time, easy to fix if one's off.

Keep a person on: anything with money, anything that commits you to a time or a price, and anything said out loud to a customer.

And always keep a way back. If something changes in your business, switch it back to asking first.

How kaylin does it

Autopilots set to Ask first wait for your OK on each change, text and email. When you've OK'd an autopilot's last 5 runs exactly as written, kaylin suggests letting it act on its own. Press Let it act on its own, or Not now, and kaylin asks again only after 5 more runs like that.

Calls and invoices always wait for you, whatever you choose. You can switch any autopilot back to Ask first at any time.

With kaylin: kaylin keeps count for you, and only suggests it once an autopilot has earned it.
