Call kaylin as yourself
Call or text your kaylin number from your mobile and kaylin helps like a teammate.
When you call your kaylin number from your confirmed mobile number, kaylin greets you by name and works as your assistant, like in Chat: it looks things up, and texts, emails, books or changes things for you. It says each change back and does it after your yes.
Anyone can fake a caller ID, so the first time you ask for something private or to have something done on a call, kaylin checks once that it's really you: your PIN if you turned it on, or a 6-digit code it texts to your phone. After that the call carries on as normal. Taking a message never needs it, and neither do texts from your phone.
- 1Add Your mobile number in Settings → General.
- 2Press Text me a code and enter the 6-digit code to confirm it.
- 3Call your kaylin number from that phone.
A PIN for calls
In Settings → General, turn on Use a PIN on calls and set 4 digits. kaylin asks for it once on a call, instead of texting a code. If your PIN doesn't work, kaylin texts a code to your phone instead.
After 5 wrong tries in a row your PIN is paused for 15 minutes, and after 10 it's locked. kaylin tells you in the app and by text. Press Unlock in Settings → General, or set a new PIN.
If you can't check on a call, kaylin can text your request to your phone, and you reply there. Each of those texts says not to reply if you weren't just on a call with kaylin.
Call me
Press Call me on a number's card and kaylin calls the mobile number in your profile. It's a quick way to hear how kaylin sounds. When that's your confirmed number, the call needs no check.
