Your own tools (MCP)
Connect a tool you already use by its MCP server address, so kaylin can use it too.
Some tools give you an MCP server address. Add it, and kaylin can use that tool in Chat and in autopilots. Owners and admins add tools; kaylin never uses them on customer calls or texts.
- 1Go to Integrations and find Your own tools.
- 2Press Add a tool.
- 3Paste the Address (it starts with https://) and give it a Name, like Our job board.
- 4If the tool gave you a token, paste it under Token. kaylin keeps it on its server and never shows it again.
- 5Press Connect. kaylin says how many tools it found.
What kaylin may do
The switch by the tool's name turns it on or off. Off, kaylin doesn't use any of its tools.
When you ask kaylin to use one of its tools, it does, whatever its switch. A tool that can delete, refund, move money or change access runs once a reply; any more show a card with what it would send, and nothing happens until you press Use it. A teammate using one you share follows your switches: On runs when they ask; Off, or one that can delete, refund, move money or change access, waits for you or an owner or admin under Asked of you on Waiting for you, and you get a note.
Each of its tools has its own switch, for what kaylin does on its own. On: kaylin does it by itself in an autopilot set to make changes automatically. Off: kaylin checks with you before doing it on its own.
Each tool starts On, except one that can delete, refund, move money or change access: it starts Off, and its row says so.
Available to starts at Only you. Choose Entire workspace so everyone on the team can use it in their own chats and autopilots.
In autopilots that check with you first, each use waits under Your own tools in Waiting for you.
Every use is listed in Settings → Activity before it runs.
If something doesn't work
"That address didn't answer like an MCP server" means the address isn't a tool's MCP server: check it with whoever gave it to you. "kaylin couldn't sign in" means the token is wrong or expired.
If a tool that only looks things up doesn't answer, kaylin asks it once more by itself. If it still doesn't answer, nothing changed, and you can just ask again. If a tool that changes something didn't answer, kaylin doesn't know if it worked, so the card says to check in the tool before trying again.
Remove (under ⋯ on the tool) stops kaylin using the tool and deletes its token.
If the person who added a tool with their token leaves the workspace, the tool switches off and says it needs reconnecting, and their token is deleted. An owner or admin presses Reconnect on it and gives their own token, or none if the tool doesn't need one. kaylin checks the address answers, and the tool is on again as theirs, with its tools, their switches and Available to as they were. A tool added without a token keeps working.
